Dyslexic Thoughts in Words – What Readers Are Saying
When I first started writing, I worried people would only see the spelling, the grammar, the deviations - not the thoughts behind them.
Seven years I sat with that fear. Now I’m proud I didn’t give up, I didn’t let my doubts and fears win.
I really enjoyed reading Paul Ross’s poems. They combine expressions of direct feeling and reflection told in rhythmic patterns that criss-cross through the poems. He moves from raw experience to speculation to judgements on life in engaging ways.
Michael Rosen
Words fracture into letter confetti, struggling to bind the weight of lived experience.
Watch as they recombine to map the tectonic shifts in our imaginations triggered by staccato bursts of vocalised machine gun fire.
The shell casings dropping to the floor as empty words while the imaginary bullets pass through us all like idea-fire blowing each mind in turn as Paul Ross writes.
Read it and be inspired.

I hated poetry… until I read this book.
I've never liked poetry. I've always found it meaningless and uninspiring… until I found Dyslexic Thoughts. Paul’s poetry is incredible - like he condenses an entire life into a single poem. You laugh, cry, and then think in a totally new way. It’s like chucking a box of fireworks onto a bonfire.

Raw honesty from a real writer
This man can write! He expresses his thoughts with the honesty we all hear in our own heads - and describes them better than I ever could. Brave, ballsy writing. Thank you.

Emotive and very funny in parts
I just spent an entire afternoon (in a now very cold bath) reading this book. I was transfixed by Paul’s words. It’s thought-provoking, emotive, and often hilarious. Written from the heart and mind of a creative genius.

This guy converted me into loving poetry
Sorry poetry world, I still find your work boring and bland - but Paul’s work is wild, real, and explosive. You won’t have read anything like this before.

A book to inspire us all
I keep a copy in my driving school. Students and parents alike have dipped in and found it inspiring - straight from the heart.

READ ONE LITTLE BIT!
At first glance it looks like maths. But this is a million times more than a book about dyslexia. It’s simple, complicated, and breathtaking.

My Thought:
I don’t write like a poet. I write like someone trying to survive his thoughts by getting them out, when they are on the page they are no longer in my head. I can then look and take my time to think on them. When I first started writing I started to think on my thoughts that I had written, it was an amazing feeling, like where did all that come from.
If you read something here and feel the urge to reply - write over the book. There’s space for all of us.
